Interracial couples still an issue? SERIOUSLY?!?

You have to read this article so I can vent a bit.... I cut and paste some of it to effectively rip it to shreds, but the link is posted immediately below so you can read the entire article if you wish...

Interracial Couple Refused Marriage License in Louisiana - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News - FOXNews.com

HAMMOND, La. — A Louisiana justice of the peace said he refused to issue a marriage license to an interracial couple out of concern for any children the couple might have.

Keith Bardwell, justice of the peace in Tangipahoa Parish, says it is his experience that most interracial marriages do not last long.

DAS GOOB COMMENT: It is unbelievable that in today's environment this sort of happy horse crap still exists. WHAT makes this guy such an elitist that he can impose his opinion on the world and be taken seriously... I guess it is true he has the right to refuse it.... but don't expect people to continue to like you if you do!

"I'm not a racist. I just don't believe in mixing the races that way," Bardwell told the Associated Press on Thursday. "I have piles and piles of black friends. They come to my home, I marry them, they use my bathroom. I treat them just like everyone else."

DAS GOOB COMMENT: "...piles and piles of black friends."? Piles? Nice use of words, loser. "They come to my home, I marry them, they use my bathroom." WHAT THE....? What does your bathroom have to do with it? How is the fact you lets blacks use your bathroom show anyone that you are compassionate to them? Are you kidding me? The more he opens his mouth, the easier it is to see through this mentally challenged person's flawed personality. "I treat them just like everyone else." Obviously, you don't or this story would not be written. EVERYONE ELSE does not look down on interracial marriage! Just you, the Klan, and a fringe group of people deprived of oxygen at birth.

Bardwell said he asks everyone who calls about marriage if they are a mixed race couple. If they are, he does not marry them, he said.

Bardwell said he has discussed the topic with blacks and whites, along with witnessing some interracial marriages. He came to the conclusion that most of black society does not readily accept offspring of such relationships, and neither does white society, he said.

DAS GOOB COMMENT: Jerks like him are the reason racism even survives today. I am the first to punk out losers who use racism as a crutch to excuse a plethora of issues, but in this case, it is clear it is a part of his modus operandi. I am sure his research was extensive and well thought out.

Put this in your research, neanderthal! I have several (more than 3 in case the English language escapes you) friends that are in an interracial relationship, all with kids. In the time I have been associated with these families, I have never witnessed or been informed of a single incident even remotely related to racism, favoritism, or social segregation. The children are friends with my children, learn, play sports, laugh, cry and socialize side by side. Unlike you, kids don't really notice or care. Oh, and by the way, I live in one of the most conservative states in the US!

"There is a problem with both groups accepting a child from such a marriage," Bardwell said. "I think those children suffer and I won't help put them through it."

DAS GOOB COMMENT: What if the female is barren or if the male is sterile? Would you marry them? What if they agreed to adopt only? Would you marry them? Of course not... because you are more concerned with your own agenda.

If he did an interracial marriage for one couple, he must do the same for all, he said.

"I try to treat everyone equally," he said.

DAS GOOB COMMENT: To treat everyone equally is to allow them to marry, regardless of race. You are NOT treating them equally. Will you marry a Spanish immigrant and a white? How about an Asian and a white? How about an Asian and a Israeli? What does your extensive research say for that? Do you need to break out a color wheel for your answer? Go ahead, I will wait while you ask the King Poo Ba of your chapter of the Klan...

Read the rest of the article if you wish..... up to you. I have read it top to bottom and I can save you the time. This guy is a moron..... (it sure is sweet having a blog allowing me to be a name caller..... therapeutic for me..... ).

My only predicament? I actually am in agreement with the ACLU! I know! Weird.

Ugh... What a pile of useless flesh.

Lockerbie Murderer Freed on Compassion? Really?

Cheers of joy and chants of Abdel Baset al-Megrahi were made as he descended from the jetway of the plane that took him home. I am sure his "followers" are thrilled and family is ecstatic.

al-Megrahi was a convicted murderer, responsible for the bombing of Pan Am flight that was flying over Lockerbie, Scottland in 1988. All 259 on board were killed, as well as 11 on the ground. al-Megrahi, as tried by a panel of his peers, was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison (with a minimum of 27 years to be served).

Unfortunately, the Scottish have a "Humanity Clause", so as he dies of colon cancer, and has been given 3 months to live, they released him back to his home country of Libya. He served 8 years in prison. That is a equivalent of 11 days behind bars per victim. Think about that and let that sink in for a while. Let's say I blew up your sister/mother/lover/father/brother/BFF up in their car as they were traveling home for Christmas (which was the case for this flight). And I get sentenced to serve life in prison, yet only end up being in prison for 11 days. Would you be happy about that? I didn't think so. If you killed my wife or daughter(s) and got 11 days in prison, let's just say I would be there to make sure your day of freedom is your last.

Where is the "humanity" for the 270 people that perished that day, or the countless family members and friends affected by this cruel and evil deed? Why cant their suffering be taken into account? It isn't. It wasn't an accident, it wasn't even manslaughter. It was straight up murder of the first degree (premeditated).

I feel horrible for the families and friends of those lost in this gruesome well publicized tragedy, and all the pain they will undoubtedly feel all over again as this cold blooded killer walks free again. I hope there is something you can focus on to help you find the good in all that is bad.

Me, on the other hand, don't have that level of compassion in me. I am just cold that way. I instead envision al-Megrahi flying home to be with his family for one last time as his life is nearly over...... relaxing in his comfortable first class seat...... asking for some more water........ BANG!!!!! If only it could be done without another single innocent person being captured in it...... It would be justice having him fall to his death, feeling that inevitable panic as you see your death meeting you. So many fell that way on that cold day in 1988. If only he could get a little of his own medicine.

I know.... cold..... but so very appropriate for this killer...... even if it was nearly 21 years ago. I guarantee you he is much more cold and calculated inside with his lack of respect for life. Not a military target, not a camp of rebels...... no, he blew up innocent civilians.

WAKE UP PEOPLE!

National Health Care, or should we call it Waste Gate?

I know that there is some very polarizing efforts on both sides of the fence to be for/against socialized health care and having a national plan to cover everyone in the country.

I won't even dive into the reasons to oppose social medicine (I have already done that in the past) nor will we allow emotion rule the roost here. This post is pure fact, driven 100% by numbers, and NOTHING ELSE. We can debate the woes at another date.

These numbers, by the way, were released by the GAO, which is a part of the Obama administration. Not by right whacko's or hateful white males.....This is Administration numbers released in a flurry to the public. I may not be a economist, but I am a thinking man, and here is what I came up with.

They say that 36 million (36,000,000) people will receive benefit from the new nationalized heath care plan, allowing them to receive some or all services they were not eligible for in the past. They also stated that his number includes 20 million (20,000,000) that currently have health insurance but would be eligible for the national version. That leaves this to cover 16 million (16,000,000) uninsured Americans, allowing them to smile again and stand up straight!

Now to the cost. The administration number, which are debatable, is 1.5 trillion dollars (1,500,000,000,000!) over the next 10 years. We will stick with this number, even though the heavily left controlled Senate today already bumped that up to 1.6 trillion dollars, but what is 100 billion amongst friends, right? So, the cost is roughly 150 billion dollars a year.

Take that 150,000,000,000 and divide it by the 16,000,000 benefactors and what do you get? Yeah...... That is $9375 dollars per person per year for national health care. Per person per year! A family of four costs.....duh....37,500 dollars! That is considerably more expensive than it would cost for John Q Public to purchase his very own private health care plan! Did I mention that this plan, for the national health care, also contains clauses that state that there will be additional limits to what care you can receive with this program? Yes. Rationing health care. Where the government tells you what is reasonable and prudent. We all know how that works out in government.

This my friends, is pure government waste and robbery. The numbers don't lie..... Who is going to pay for this? Can someone, ANYONE, please tell me where the money is going to come from to pay for this? Please, PLEASE, tell me! Enlighten me!

I am tired of watching our politicians dance around every singe question. Tell me. HOW ARE WE GOING TO PAY FOR IT?

OUR LEADER SHOPS at BEST BUY!!!!

Ya know....it is pretty obvious that the new socialist based administration is not my favorite. Far from it. These guys really don't understand the concept of Limited Government. But the latest just cracks me up.

Remember when the media would continually gaff at President George W. Bush's every move, waiting for a slip of the tongue, a trip of the words, or even the throwing of a shoe! They couldn't WAIT for him to make a move, in hopes it would lead to "News". They would love to say how unpolished and embarrassing he was.

Entering from stage.......well....LEFT, of course....comes President Barack Obama. Didn't see this on NBC....or CBS....and it received a parting comment from ABC.... but it is certainly on the blogs and overseas newspapers! Let me paint the picture for you:

Three weeks ago, the Prime Minister of United Kingdom, Gordon Brown, met with President Obama for the first time since his election. During the normal pleasantries, it is traditional for each allied leader to present gifts to each other; a symbolic gesture of good will, have you. PM Brown, understanding the gravity of the history related to President Obama's rise to power, pulled a good one out of his hat. He presented President Obama with a pen holder, hand carved out of the wood that once made up the Victorian anti slave ship H.M.S. Gannet. A wonderful and thoughtful gift as is, but also historic since the H.M.S Gannet is a sister ship to the H.M.S Resolute, which infamous history most kids remember from the movie "National Treasure". For those of you who don't watch movies, the timbers from that ship were used for a very ornamental desk that was given to the United States and has been residing in the Oval Office since 1880!

But wait! There is more! PM Brown also gave the President a framed commission for the H.M.S. Resolute as well as a first edition 7 volume set of the Biography of Winston Churchill. All in all, quite a thought out and appropriate gift from your number one ally....in the WORLD!

I am sure that our President was adequately prepared and ready to provide a gift to a world leader that would sum up his respect for PM Brown and the United Kingdom. Why, yes he was......

President Obama (join me now with wild cheering and trumpets piping off in the background) gave PM Brown................25 DVD collection.

Are you kidding me? 25 DVD collection? Don't you think that the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom has the power to navigate his computer to bestbuy.com? Or Amazon.com? C'MON! That is utterly embarrassing! Simply embarrassing! What a joke! Did I mention that they were NTSC formatted, unable to be played on a U.K. DVD player? P.S. They were not Blue Ray either....

Now, I could list them to you, but that is a whole other article in itself. Look it up for yourself....and be prepared to laugh.... (ex. Star Wars Episode IV.....just Episode IV).

I could also rant about the exchange between first ladies, where First Lady Brown gave the Obama girls dresses from famous U.K. store along with 6 children's books.....not yet released in US. First Lady Obama..........yeahhhhhhh... gave two models of Marine One to the Brown boys. Strike Two!

Enough there.....Let's step into the present, shall we?

G20 summit. Goin' ON! Representin'! President Obama gets to hang with the Queen, which he said a few weeks ago, "What I love the most about Great Britain is the Queen!" Awkward....anyway....the President's wish of meeting the Queen is coming true. They meet...they shake hands....our First Lady steps in front and blocks Prince Phillip to glad hand and have pictures with the Queen.....smooth....and places her hand on the Queen's shoulder.....oopsie! Prince Phillip and the Queen overlook this of course, with Prince Phillip stepping back and nearly disappearing from frame. Then comes the gift exchange.

Now, few weeks have past, the President was throttled in the British Press for his DVD boo boo. He also has a staff of 500 people with him in the U.K. 500.....500 people to help. Surely one of these buffoons could gently remind the President, "Um, Sir... DVD's.....NO! Bad President! The Queen, sir! The Queen. Thoughtful. Let's recover, shall we?" That...however....wasn't the case.

The Queen of England gave our President a silver framed photograph of herself and her husband, a standard dignitary gift from the Queen.

Drum roll please..... President Obama gave the Queen.....an iPod. Yes..... an iPod. With footage on it from her last visit to the U.S.......yup.....he did it again......

Did I mention that the Queen already had an iPod? Yes, on recommendation from Prince Harry. Purchased back in 2005. Of course I am sure this was a closely guarded national secret and caught President Obama off guard.

Man...I don't care how great this guy may be.....he really needs to fire EVERYONE in his staff. Start from scratch. Might as well get the rest of the Clinton Staffers, you have most of them anyway.....Might want to leave off the "dry cleaner" guy......

Americans blind to the enemy within

Most recently, a very gruesome killing occurred near Boston, MA. This was an instance where some guy (a Haitian immigrant) for some reason went berserk and decided to stab his 17 year old sister to death, behead his 5 year old sister in front of police, and then attack his 9 year old sister, stabbing her several times before police finally shot him and killed him. The 9 year old is recovering in a local hospital and expected to make a full recovery.

One of the comments in the story that caught me off guard though, was, "How can anyone be so brutal and vicious of a killer!"

It is easy for us in the United States to throw that statement out there. We are shielded by a media that seems to think instances of this type of brutality outside of our boarders are not news worthy. They seem to think that reporting the latest iPod release from Apple is more prevalent than killings overseas that would be considered by our society hate crimes, brutal murders without conscious, and in some instances race or religion cleansing. Why? Why doesn't our media report that?

Why isn't Dan Rather in Iraq depicting the scores of women and girls that were once banned from schools now getting a proper education? Why isn't Peter Jennings in Afghanistan reporting the honor killings occurring where entire families are wiped off the map in the name of religion and honor? Why is it that we do not get the daily reminder of "Real Life" in a Muslim based country?

What we consider brutal is merely accepted procedure abroad in many countries. Yet, our public either is ignorant to the fact, or choose not to care because it doesn't affect them in their daily lives. For now....

The details are still streaming in on this very unfortunate event in Boston, but what about the "Honor Killing" that occurred in a Dallas/Fort Worth Suburb? Where did the publicity go? Only Fox News and ABC news covered it initially, and no one since... Yasir Abdel Said was a taxi driver and father of three children, two of which were teenage girls. The bulk of the reporting was concerning the girls who were shot in the taxi cab by their father, and the 911 recording of the girls pleading for help as the father escaped. Since then, very little has been said.

These girls were born and raised Muslim, but conflicting in the Western Culture. The father was growing increasingly angry at their lack of respect for the Muslim religion, and even informed the girls that if they did not shape up, he would take them back to Egypt and kill them, where it is legal to do so. There are also reports of the girls coming to school with welts on arms and back, and other beatings that occurred, including an event that had one of the girls lips embedded in her braces, but they would not seek medical attention in fear of the father being thrown in jail.

The son, Islam, even shares responsibility, in my opinion, as he begged Amina to come home after one particular argument, stating that "Father will not hurt you, I promise and give you my word on that." She did so.....and one hour later she was making that infamous call to the police as she laid there dying. Sarah and Amina are dead. The father was never captured, and now they believe he is back in Egypt living a normal life.

This happened in our back yard, people. This is not the first, nor will it be the last. We need to be reminded of this brutal culture that condones and even encourages such evil behavior in the name of religion. We need to remember how fortunate we are to live in a country that does not tolerate such extreme actions. Instead....we move on and wonder if the government is going to bail us out of our financial crisis, allowing us to continue to live our current lifestyles.

Here is a reminder. Verse 4:34 from the Quaran: "Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and [as to] those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great."

Don't forget Amina and Sarah. Don't forget the thousands others who met a similar demise overseas. Don't forget how wonderful our country is.

By the way.....where are the women's rights groups that are so quick to jump on the causes here in the US? Why are they not shooting blood out of their eyes at this and other examples? Why does this not qualify to be on their agenda?

Here come the gun possession laws....

First off, please let me start this by saying how sorry and full of sorrow we are for the innocent people in Illinois who were gunned down in cold blood a couple of days ago. Our hearts and prayers go out to you.

While this story is so tragic, it is also unnerving in how it is being portrayed in one particular aspect: Guns.

The Associated Press reported the gunman's bedroom collection as an "arsenal". Here is the quote:

"The arsenal in accused gunman Terry Sedlacek's room included two 12-gauge shotguns, a rifle and a box of 550 .22-caliber bullets, according to court documents filed Tuesday."

Arsenal? Really? This is an Arsenal? Good grief! 550 rounds of .22 caliber bullets? My brother and I would go through that shooting ground squirrels in a couple of hours...

If that is an arsenal, then we have a major problem here in the State of Idaho. There are thousands and thousands of residents heavily equipped and able to overthrow the government and institute Martial Law since they are equipped with an "arsenal". We had better have the National Guard surround the entire Northwest (except Seattle and Portland, of course) to contain the lawlessness that is daily life in a land full of single family arsenals..... In Illinois, it is an arsenal; in Idaho, we call it "the basics".

Associated Press.....we get it....you hate guns.....you hate people who want to keep guns.....you hate the 2nd amendment. No need to sensationalize stories to get your point across. We know you will never understand the reason to have the right to bear arms.

You are going to get your way.....we are moving in the direction that you want....eventually we no longer will have the ability to have guns. You will be happy.....society will be much better....no more gun crime will occur.....they will be banned and a happy life will ensue for all. Just like cocaine, methamphetamines, heroine, marijuana, etc. They are banned and no longer exist in our country. Thank goodness for your "progressive" thinking..... Well, I guess it is not totally original, either...... Hitler did the same thing.

Bern in Hell

The latest bit out about Bernie Madoff:

He and his wife claim they are entitled to keep a $7 million Manhattan apartment and an additional $62 million in assets.

He and his wife say they are entitled to keep their $7 million New York (Manhattan) apartment, and of course, $62 million in assets in her accounts. Really? You think that you deserve to keep that after what you have done to bilk thousands of people out of billions of dollars?

Court papers filed on Monday state that Madoff and his lawyer say the Manhattan penthouse and money held in accounts of Madoff's wife, Ruth, are not subject to seizure. I say you are wrong! I am sure you had absolutely no idea what was going on when hubby was screwing every penny out of friends, family, and strangers. I am sure your lavish lifestyle was purely due to your hard work and ol' Bernie was on his own....right?

The $62 million includes $45 million in municipal bonds on deposit in an account held by Ruth Madoff and $17 million in her name at Wachovia Bank. Sounds like the beginning of his (and her) pittance to repay those whose lives they have ruined.....

Right now the government is still investigating his actions. Don't worry dear, I am sure they will find a way to link it to you as well and nail your petite little tush to the wall. Besides, ol' Bernie tried like heck to funnel off as many funds as he could before the feds could touch it....how do we know that isn't part of it?

Face it, either you are really stupid and were completely suckered by this walking penis or you are in on the laundering of the money. Either way, it doesn't belong to you. It belongs to thousands others.....

Sad thing is....the lawyers will get it all in the end. Our only hope for justice is that Bernie will get a little in his end too.

Really, what is in the Spending Package (often labeled the "Stimulus Package"?)

I am trying not to let my head explode at the moment. Instead, a moment of zen.....

I will merely list the bulk of the projects in the spending bill and you can decide for yourself...which are PORK and which are actual economic stimulating items. IN order to quantify what group the spending falls into, please use Barney Frank's words as a litmus test: It should be, "Temporary, Timely, and Targeted." Please note I could only find info on $585 Billion of it....the rest is still a secret! It hasn't leaked out yet!

Good luck! ........aaaaaannnnd GO!

$50 million for the National Endowment for the Arts
$380 million in the Senate bill for the Women, Infants and Children program
$300 million for grants to combat violence against women
$2 billion for federal child-care block grants
$6 billion for university building projects
$15 billion for boosting Pell Grant college scholarships

$1.5 billion for green-technology loan guarantees
$8 billion for innovative-technology loan-guarantee program
$2.4 billion for carbon-capture demonstration projects
$4.5 billion for electricity grid
$79 billion for State Fiscal Stabilization Fund

I could spend hours writing about each item I think is a farce and cannot ever be thought of as "stimulus". But, I am nearly out of breath at the moment. I will tell you something, though. $79 BILLION FOR STATE FISCAL STABILIZATION FUND?!?!?!!? Are you kidding me! Let me guess, the states that are going under because they are WAY over spending and have no means to even pay their income tax returns to their constituents will get the bulk of this money, yet the states like mine, who are required by LAW to have a balanced budget, we get the middle finger. Reward the challenged....punish the prudent.

Representatives and Senators......make me sick....

A REAL HERO.....

You want a real American Hero story to read? We have so little lately to inspire us and reaffirm our beliefs that real heroes still exist. This story should do that and take your mind off of the clows in D.C. for a while. Stories like this helps people like me to get by from day to day. Here's the story:

Ed Freeman: A Hero of Our Country.

Imagine this: You're a 19 year old kid, critically wounded, and dying in the jungle in the Ia Drang Valley, 11-14-1965, LZ Xray, Vietnam. Your infantry unit is outnumbered 8 - 1, and the enemy fire is so intense, from 100 or 200 yards away, that your own Infantry Commander has ordered the Medi-Vac helicopters to stop coming in.

You're lying there, listening to the enemy machine guns, and you know you're not getting out. Your family is halfway around the world, 12,000 miles away, and you'll never see them again. As the world starts to fade in and out, you know this is the day.

Then, over the machine gun noise, you faintly hear that sound of a helicopter, and you look up to see an un-armed Huey, but it doesn't seem real, because there are no Medi-Vac markings on it.

Ed Freeman is coming for you. He's not Medi-Vac, so it's not his job, but he's flying his Huey down into the machine gun fire, after the Medi-Vacs were told not to come.

He's coming anyway.

And he drops it in, and sits there in the machine gun fire, as they load 2 or 3 of you on board. Then he flies you up and out through the gunfire, to the waiting Doctors and Nurses.

And, he kept coming back...... 13 more times.... and took over 30 of you and your buddies out, who would never have gotten out.

Ed originally was in the infantry in the Korean War, and due to his heroism on the battlefield, was given a field commission (enlisted to officer). While he was humble, this commission made his childhood dream of becoming a pilot possible. Almost.

The military had a rule then that people taller than 6'2" could not be pilots. The military determined Ed to be "Too Tall", a nickname that has followed him since. Luckily, in 1955, the military changed this stance and Ed was in. He learned both on fixed wing aircraft and then transferred to helicopters.

During the Vietnam War, when the reports were coming in about the insurmountable odds being faced, the commander of the air wing that Ed was a part of asked for volunteers to go in and get them. Ed was the only one that stepped forward. He and his commander saved so many that day...men that certainly would have perished had it not been for Ed.

His commander decided later on to submit him for the Medal of Honor, but did not meet the two year statute of limitations for that award. Didn't matter to Ed. He did what he thought was right, regardless of the potential for recognition. Ed is my hero.

Fortunately, the statute of limitation was removed in 1995, and in 2001, Ed Freeman received a long overdue Medal of Honor from President George H. W. Bush.

Medal of Honor Recipient Ed Freeman died August 20, 2008 in Boise , ID , at the age of 80.

May God rest his soul.....

Oh yeah, Paul Newman died that day too. I guess you knew that. He got a lot more press than Ed Freeman. Where is the Justice? Can you compare the two and justify the difference in press, respect, and admiration? I can't.

This guy is someone we should inspire to be like. We don't need to march in the path of bullets, but understand that his heroism should inspire us to do good for everyone.

The Amazing Story Behind Tho Global Warming Scam

You have to read this. A great recount of the evolution of the idea of global warming....and the scam it has grown into. This is written by a meterologist, not a politician....

The key players are now all in place in Washington and in state governments across America to officially label carbon dioxide as a pollutant and enact laws that tax we citizens for our carbon footprints. Only two details stand in the way, the faltering economic times and a dramatic turn toward a colder climate. The last two bitter winters have lead to a rise in public awareness that CO2 is not a pollutant and is not a significant greenhouse gas that is triggering runaway global warming.

How did we ever get to this point where bad science is driving big government we have to struggle so to stop it?

The story begins with an Oceanographer named Roger Revelle. He served with the Navy in World War II. After the war he became the Director of the Scripps Oceanographic Institute in La Jolla in San Diego, California. Revelle saw the opportunity to obtain major funding from the Navy for doing measurements and research on the ocean around the Pacific Atolls where the US military was conducting atomic bomb tests. He greatly expanded the Institute’s areas of interest and among others hired Hans Suess, a noted Chemist from the University of Chicago, who was very interested in the traces of carbon in the environment from the burning of fossil fuels. Revelle tagged on to Suess studies and co-authored a paper with him in 1957. The paper raises the possibility that the carbon dioxide might be creating a greenhouse effect and causing atmospheric warming. It seems to be a plea for funding for more studies. Funding, frankly, is where Revelle’s mind was most of the time.

Next Revelle hired a Geochemist named David Keeling to devise a way to measure the atmospheric content of Carbon dioxide. In 1960 Keeling published his first paper showing the increase in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and linking the increase to the burning of fossil fuels.

These two research papers became the bedrock of the science of global warming, even though they offered no proof that carbon dioxide was in fact a greenhouse gas. In addition they failed to explain how this trace gas, only a tiny fraction of the atmosphere, could have any significant impact on temperatures.

Now let me take you back to the1950s when this was going on. Our cities were entrapped in a pall of pollution from the crude internal combustion engines that powered cars and trucks back then and from the uncontrolled emissions from power plants and factories. Cars and factories and power plants were filling the air with all sorts of pollutants. There was a valid and serious concern about the health consequences of this pollution and a strong environmental movement was developing to demand action. Government accepted this challenge and new environmental standards were set. Scientists and engineers came to the rescue. New reformulated fuels were developed for cars, as were new high tech, computer controlled engines and catalytic converters. By the mid seventies cars were no longer big time polluters, emitting only some carbon dioxide and water vapor from their tail pipes. Likewise, new fuel processing and smoke stack scrubbers were added to industrial and power plants and their emissions were greatly reduced, as well.

But an environmental movement had been established and its funding and very existence depended on having a continuing crisis issue. So the research papers from Scripps came at just the right moment. And, with them came the birth of an issue; man-made global warming from the carbon dioxide from the burning of fossil fuels.

Revelle and Keeling used this new alarmism to keep their funding growing. Other researchers with environmental motivations and a hunger for funding saw this developing and climbed aboard as well. The research grants began to flow and alarming hypothesis began to show up everywhere.

The Keeling curve showed a steady rise in CO2 in atmosphere during the period since oil and coal were discovered and used by man. As of today, carbon dioxide has increased from 215 to 385 parts per million. But, despite the increases, it is still only a trace gas in the atmosphere. While the increase is real, the percentage of the atmosphere that is CO2 remains tiny, about .41 hundredths of one percent.

Several hypothesis emerged in the 70s and 80s about how this tiny atmospheric component of CO2 might cause a significant warming. But they remained unproven. Years have passed and the scientists kept reaching out for evidence of the warming and proof of their theories. And, the money and environmental claims kept on building up.

Back in the 1960s, this global warming research came to the attention of a Canadian born United Nation’s bureaucrat named Maurice Strong. He was looking for issues he could use to fulfill his dream of one-world government. Strong organized a World Earth Day event in Stockholm, Sweden in 1970. From this he developed a committee of scientists, environmentalists and political operatives from the UN to continue a series of meeting.

Strong developed the concept that the UN could demand payments from the advanced nations for the climatic damage from their burning of fossil fuels to benefit the underdeveloped nations, a sort of CO2 tax that would be the funding for his one-world government. But, he needed more scientific evidence to support his primary thesis. So Strong championed the establishment of the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. This was not a pure climate study scientific organization, as we have been lead to believe. It was an organization of one-world government UN bureaucrats, environmental activists and environmentalist scientists who craved the UN funding so they could produce the science they needed to stop the burning of fossil fuels. Over the last 25 years they have been very effective. Hundreds of scientific papers, four major international meetings and reams of news stories about climatic Armageddon later, the UN IPCC has made its points to the satisfaction of most and even shared a Nobel Peace Prize with Al Gore.

At the same time, that Maurice Strong was busy at the UN, things were getting a bit out of hand for the man who is now called the grandfather of global warming, Roger Revelle. He had been very politically active in the late 1950’s as he worked to have the University of California locate a San Diego campus adjacent to Scripps Institute in La Jolla. He won that major war, but lost an all important battle afterward when he was passed over in the selection of the first Chancellor of the new campus.

He left Scripps finally in 1963 and moved to Harvard University to establish a Center for Population Studies. It was there that Revelle inspired one of his students to become a major global warming activist. This student would say later, "It felt like such a privilege to be able to hear about the readouts from some of those measurements in a group of no more than a dozen undergraduates. Here was this teacher presenting something not years old but fresh out of the lab, with profound implications for our future!" The student described him as "a wonderful, visionary professor" who was "one of the first people in the academic community to sound the alarm on global warming," That student was Al Gore. He thought of Dr. Revelle as his mentor and referred to him frequently, relaying his experiences as a student in his book Earth in the Balance, published in 1992.

So there it is, Roger Revelle was indeed the grandfather of global warming. His work had laid the foundation for the UN IPCC, provided the anti-fossil fuel ammunition to the environmental movement and sent Al Gore on his road to his books, his movie, his Nobel Peace Prize and a hundred million dollars from the carbon credits business.

What happened next is amazing. The global warming frenzy was becoming the cause celeb of the media. After all the media is mostly liberal, loves Al Gore, loves to warn us of impending disasters and tell us "the sky is falling, the sky is falling". The politicians and the environmentalist loved it, too.

But the tide was turning with Roger Revelle. He was forced out at Harvard at 65 and returned to California and a semi retirement position at UCSD. There he had time to rethink Carbon Dioxide and the greenhouse effect. The man who had inspired Al Gore and given the UN the basic research it needed to launch its Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change was having second thoughts. In 1988 he wrote two cautionary letters to members of Congress. He wrote, "My own personal belief is that we should wait another 10 or 20 years to really be convinced that the greenhouse effect is going to be important for human beings, in both positive and negative ways." He added, "…we should be careful not to arouse too much alarm until the rate and amount of warming becomes clearer."

And in 1991 Revelle teamed up with Chauncey Starr, founding director of the Electric Power Research Institute and Fred Singer, the first director of the U.S. Weather Satellite Service, to write an article for Cosmos magazine. They urged more research and begged scientists and governments not to move too fast to curb greenhouse CO2 emissions because the true impact of carbon dioxide was not at all certain and curbing the use of fossil fuels could have a huge negative impact on the economy and jobs and our standard of living. I have discussed this collaboration with Dr. Singer. He assures me that Revelle was considerably more certain than he was at the time that carbon dioxide was not a problem.

Did Roger Revelle attend the Summer enclave at the Bohemian Grove in Northern California in the Summer of 1990 while working on that article? Did he deliver a lakeside speech there to the assembled movers and shakers from Washington and Wall Street in which he apologized for sending the UN IPCC and Al Gore onto this wild goose chase about global warming? Did he say that the key scientific conjecture of his lifetime had turned out wrong? The answer to those questions is, "I think so, but I do not know it for certain". I have not managed to get it confirmed as of this moment. It’s a little like Las Vegas; what is said at the Bohemian Grove stays at the Bohemian Grove. There are no transcripts or recordings and people who attend are encouraged not to talk. Yet, the topic is so important, that some people have shared with me on an informal basis.

Roger Revelle died of a heart attack three months after the Cosmos story was printed. Oh, how I wish he were still alive today. He might be able to stop this scientific silliness and end the global warming scam.

Al Gore has dismissed Roger Revelle’s Mea culpa as the actions of senile old man. And, the next year, while running for Vice President, he said the science behind global warming is settled and there will be no more debate, From 1992 until today, he and his cohorts have refused to debate global warming and when ask about we skeptics they simply insult us and call us names.

So today we have the acceptance of carbon dioxide as the culprit of global warming. It is concluded that when we burn fossil fuels we are leaving a dastardly carbon footprint which we must pay Al Gore or the environmentalists to offset. Our governments on all levels are considering taxing the use of fossil fuels. The Federal Environmental Protection Agency is on the verge of naming CO2 as a pollutant and strictly regulating its use to protect our climate. The new President and the US congress are on board. Many state governments are moving on the same course.

We are already suffering from this CO2 silliness in many ways. Our energy policy has been strictly hobbled by no drilling and no new refineries for decades. We pay for the shortage this has created every time we buy gas. On top of that the whole thing about corn based ethanol costs us millions of tax dollars in subsidies. That also has driven up food prices. And, all of this is a long way from over.

And, I am totally convinced there is no scientific basis for any of it.

Global Warming. It is the hoax. It is bad science. It is a high jacking of public policy. It is no joke. It is the greatest scam in history.

Stop saying the Iraq war was unjust or unnecessary!

You know, one of the dumbest things that President Bush could have done during his tenure as Commander in Chief is to bet all his chips on finding weapons of mass destruction during the invasion of Iraq. DUMB!

We didn't need to find them. The fact that the U.N. made "resolution" after resolution after resolution threatening Iraq and Saddam Hussein with military action if he did not comply (which he never met) was enough for us to go. That is it. That is the only reason we would need to give military action. Of course, there is the confirmed fact of correlation between Al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein. That just adds to the justification against this cruel dictator. But, unlike 99% of the US public that is more concerned about the temperature their mocha latte is being served to them, I remember the reports of what really happened in Iraq.

Now, long after the war has been over, and long after Saddam is dead, video comes out of Iraq of what he really did. He used chemical weapons (yes, those are considered weapons of mass destruction) on his own people. Hundreds of thousands of people were killed using these weapons. Unbelievable video footage of entire villages and small cities completely wiped off the map. Don't believe me? Look it up in your libraries. Find the videos made by National Geographic called, "Inside Saddam's Reign of Terror". Very graphic video showing all of these bodies gassed as they were in their houses, streets, markets, etc. Video of people round up, dumped in 6ft deep by 50ft long pits, and then buried. Beheading, breaking arms in front of peers for brutality sake, throwing people off of buildings, hanging on the wall for fun, maiming and torture of those accused of even petty crimes, all decrees written and ordered to be enforced by Saddam Hussein.

Google photos of Halabja, a city in the Kurdish area of northern Iraq. Gone. Dead people everywhere from chemical attacks, frozen in time. How about Hilla? Killing fields of Saddam Hussein. Mass grave of 3000 Shiite rebels from the uprising.

All in all, no chemical or biological weapons were found, but they did find 180 separate mass graves, totaling over 300,000 dead......of his own people......his countrymen.....his children.

You are right Hollywood, there were no weapons of mass destruction found. He used them all up on his own people. Quit judging from your glass houses with your Mercedes in the garage, your Louis Vitton bags, and all your other lavish living ways. Think for once with the grey matter in your head. This Iraqi villain had killed enough and needed to be handled in a similar manner as those he murdered. He was tried and convicted, expeditiously executed, and buried by the countrymen he once terrorized. These people now can live free generate their own government. You better thank your gods daily you live in a country that preserves those types of freedoms you take for granted.

Who caused the housing crisis? W, of course.....

Please watch this video......

Now, you tell me how the housing crisis is George Bush's fault. How many warnings did they need to understand what was happening? Why isn't Barney Frank out on his hiney looking for work? What group of constituents would continue to blindly re-elect complete buffoons like him?

I blame George Bush for not beating the drum on this issue when we had a chance to fix it. The signs were there. People much smarter than him or Barny Rubble were sending up serious flags without coming straight out and grabbing him by the collar and saying, "YO, PREZ! WAKE UP CHUMP! THIS IS GOING TO GET UGLY IF WE DO NOT FIX IT!" Instead, we have to play nice because we are just right wing wackos that get blamed for everything. Good job.

Now everyone that loses their house will blame W. He obviously meant to kick them out in the street....... WHERE are your BRAINS, people?

Now, if you have 8 more minutes of time, watch this. Count how many representatives say there is no issue at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Unbelievable. Where is the public outcry? Why aren't people going berserk trying to oust these clowns? GET RID OF THEM! THESE ARE THE PEOPLE TO BLAME FOR THE HOUSING CRISIS!

Did you know who was the #1, #2, and #3 recipient of campaign funds from Fannie Mae? Look it up.

I think my eyeballs are going to explode.....

Secretary of the Treasury says you don't have to pay your taxes

Caught your attention? Good. Because he didn't pay his taxes, and he is now going to be the Secretary of the Treasury (you know, man in charge of the IRS, one of the signatures on your money). Is that completely absurd? I think so!

Would you let a child molester be an in home daycare for your children? Would you let a convicted drug dealer run a pharmacy? Those are a bit harsh, but it is necessary to bring enlightenment to the situation. Would you let your family ride in a taxi cab with a driver who has no license and 4 convictions of DUI? Not willingly.

Yet we are allowing this tax cheat and thief be in charge of our monetary establishment in the world's most powerful country.

I say thief and cheat because he effectively stole money. Cheating on your taxes is almost encouraged any more (which is likely why all but 5 senators breezed this guy through), but theft is not. Here is why:

Mr. Geithner worked for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in the early 2000's. They are paid as self employed personnel (much like a 1099 for services rendered in US). This means you have to pay your own employment taxes and SSA taxes that your traditional employer ponies up for most of us. Well, to offset that, the IMF gives their self employed personnel an extra allowance, known as a "gross-up", to cover those self employment taxes, also known as an Annual Tax Allowance Request. Each employee can fill out a form with basic information on it, and then the IMF will cut them a check for their estimated amount of taxes due.

The IMF goes through several steps to inform their people that they have to pay their own taxes and then a separate form to apply for the Annual Tax Allowance Request. At the end of this form, where he had to sign, is the statement, "I hereby certify that all the information contained herein is true to the best of my knowledge and belief, and that I will pay the taxes for which I have received tax allowance payments from the Fund (IMF)." Mr. Geithner signed the form every year for 4 years. He accepted the allowance payments for 4 years. He didn't pay the tax for 4 years.

He claims he did not know he had to pay these taxes. Either he cannot read, didn't care to read, or is a crook. In any case, is this the guy you want in charge of your federal dollar pocket book?

Did I mention that one of my Senators voted to accept him? He is going to get a piece of my mind. Won't be voting for him again!

How to Set Your Child Up for Failure

Have you heard of the husband and wife from New Jersey who have named their children "Adolf Hitler Campbell, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell, and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell"? Google it, its true.

This all started last month when they complained because a grocery store refused to make a "Happy Birthday Adolf Hitler" cake for their son.

"This is America," father Heath Campbell told the media. "They say it's free. You have a right to name your child what you want to name your child, no matter what."

While this right does exist in our wonderful country, it does not have the ability to trump other rights. One of those rights is Freedom of Speech. I have the right to call you a racist, inbred, lock step, Jew hating, brainwashed, psychopath. Yup. I do. Oh, and the store has the right to refuse service to anyone it wants to. They don't have to tell you why, they don't have to hire lawyers to prevent you from coming in, nothing. They can just exercise their right to refuse service to anyone.

I feel bad that the kids have to pay for your extreme lack of judgement (i.e. stupidity) but that is how the world works. I would feel bad that the kid missed out on his cake, but then I am sure you found another store that would make your cake. It is just a cake, for crying out loud.

More recently, though, state child welfare officials did remove the children from their parents home on reports from neighbors that they had been abused by the father, and that the father abused the mother as well. The agency repeatedly stated that it would never remove a child from a home simply because of their names, but the child's mother doesn't buy it. She fails to mention that ol' Heath has a history of domestic violence from his previous marriages.

Either these parents are incredibly stupid and can't think past tomorrow, very racist and using innocent children as pawns in their political statement game, or both. Since the website shows a picture of the father's hand with a tattoo of a Swastika on it, I am voting for the combination of the two. What a complete tool.

By the way, last reports were that the father is in the hospital for mental stress of the situation.

Ted Kennedy Wants National Health Care....

Latest headline from the drunk in Massachusetts: "Senate Lion Ted Kennedy Roars Once Again for National Health Care." He wants it to be his legacy. His crown achievement. Like drowning a woman wasn't enough.

Wow.....where do I start.

First.....I would say, "Lead by Example".....meaning, all Senators and Representatives need to be put on National Health Care. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. Suck it up, Ted, and show us the way! Oh, wait....you wouldn't do that, would you? Nope. Because you know if you did it would be months, maybe even years before your brain tumor would have been treated. In fact, you would probably be dead from the tumor before seeing the operating room.

Oops, well that doesn't work, so I guess there is no chance of that, is there. Instead, we can count on them telling us how nice it would be if everyone in the country had health care that they can use at any time without regard for cost. Play on the heartstrings of everyone out there who can't make it now.

Fine.....go for it. Push it through.......but let me tell you this.....I warned you. You want an instant lesson on socialized medicine? Look at the military! We have it in place for the hundreds of thousands that put their lives on the line for us every single day. As anyone you know in the military how great their coverage is. They will laugh at you.

Doctors don't give a $h!t about you in socialized medicine. They get X amount of dollars per procedure to treat us, the living. Regardless of how good or how crappy of physicians they are, the price is the same. So, is there incentive to do a good job and spend a bit more time to make sure this person is getting the proper treatment? Nope. You become a number. The more they can see in one day, regardless of real ability, drives them to make more money. They pump you out like cows in the barn. Not only is the price they can charge set, but they still have the same risk of being sued or other legal actions against them. Thus, the good doctors will eventually go elsewhere (other countries that will pay) and we are left with the doctors that just don't care. Eventually, no one in the industry has any incentive to do well. You get the same treatment as you would get from the High School social pariah working at TCBY who is more concerned about achieving 24,000 texts per month to set a new record. No matter how hard they work or how lazy they are, the same monetary amount will be theirs for the taking at the end of the day. Punching the clock.

Look at Canada. If their health care is so great, why do the seniors flock down here when they know they have something going wrong with them? Because they can get things like MRI's and CAT scans to boost their chances of proper diagnosis. At home, they have a waiting list.

Pretty soon it gets to be like the Netherlands, where you are less valued when you are older and your spot in the Nursing home is waiting to be filled by the next. They literally wait for you to die. NEXT!

Focus on the real issue. Why is health care so expensive? Maybe it is the ridiculous lawsuits that come out of malpractice or medication side effect cases. "Your anti-inflammatory drug, which has added many quality years of life, with its clearly labeled all encompassing side effect list that I chose not to read cause American Idol was on maybe killed my 83 year old father. I am in so much pain from his unexpected loss. Gimmie $123,000 for medical bills and funeral expenses and $74 million for pain and suffering. My lawyer says we deserve it and I agree (even though most of it will go to lawyers)."

Ah......for another post some day when I am not tired.

Solving boo boo's with Psyco-babble (translated: Solving every problem with a Psychologist)

A true miracle happened this week in NYC. An airplane owned by US Airways was able to overcome a dual bird strike and land the plane in a river, averting major casualties and often certain death. The crew are heroes and should have their day in the sun.

Meanwhile, though, the news media immediately jumps on the "How would that affect you mentally. How will these people recover? Will they ever be able to get on a plane again?"

It they don't, they are stupid. Yup. Stupid. I said it. Hate me, go ahead. I don't care. Here is my reasoning.

- 94% of transportation deaths come from........Automobile accidents, not planes
- A person has a 0.00003% chance of being seriously injured or killed in a plane accident.
- The average commercial aviation deaths per year (for the last 20 years) is 120. For cars, it is 114.......PER DAY......AVERAGE!
- On average 20,000 people die in the U.S. every year......from the flu or complications from the flu. That is right: You are 167 times more likely to die from the flu than from a plane crash.
- On average, there are 15,517 people murdered in this country a year. Do you want me to do the math for you?

Therefore, statistically, if you were on board a flight that crashed landed and you were injured on, you have a better chance at winning the lottery......twice.....than to be on another commercial flight that will have a wreck.

So, rather than taking the modern approach of using psycho-babble to blame your fear on your mother or some big evil corporation, costing millions in "rehabilitation", how bout a smack on the rear and a warm felt "Suck it up!" Quit being dramatic with the news and quit convincing people that its acceptable to be weak. Be rational. Look at the statistics for yourself. Do your own math. Quit being a sissy.

Most of you don't think twice about climing in the car for a quick trip to the store to get a gallon of milk or Sour Cream and Onion Pringles (mmmmm....yummy), yet you have a drastically higher probability of being made into road pizza by a delivery truck than to have your life claimed in plane wreck.

Quit shaking in the corner, quit averting your eyes at the sight of a plane, and kick that therapist to the curb. Take the money you would normally pay the therapist..........and buy lotto tickets.

Gays in the Military

So, it looks like President Elect Obama is planning on removing the current policy of "Don't ask, Don't Tell", meaning we won't ask if you are gay (to kick you out of the military) as long as you don't openly try to be gay. This policy was put in place by former President Bill Clinton. I really hate to say this, but.....Bill Clinton was right. As a person on a Submarine in the United States Navy, I can tell you that there is absolutely no way that you can have opposite sex personnel on the same submarine. It is such a small place with an incredibly dinky amount of personal space to call your own. It just is not possible. You can make it work for a day or two, but on 90, 120, or even 180 day missions? No way. It is impossible to provide "sexual separation" for your crew.

So with that said, if one of my crew members was gay, yet kept it to himself, I was fine with it. Now, with the ability to have open gays on board a submarine, it makes it an infinitely more complex issue to deal with. YOU HAVE TO TREAT GAYS THE SAME AS YOU TREAT THE OPPOSITE SEX. That means, if you are a guy and harry butts make you tingly inside, you have to be treated the same as if you were a woman wanting to serve on a submarine. Remember the logistics....You have 2 bathrooms to serve about 125-130 people. You cannot take one of those bathrooms away for a compliment five gay guys or five women. It makes life very difficult for those remaining 120 people. Not to mention, the 5 gay guys are now going to enter sexual tension into the workplace.

You can say that "That is not necessarily true, they would be professional" or "they wouldn't do something like that". You would be naive. I spent 12 years of my life on those metal sweat houses. By the end of a long patrol, guys will begin to think that Roseanne Barr is looking kind of hot. Now, put 100 gay guys together on a sub.....where will they be at the end of a 88 day straight patrol under water......50 couples.....that is where. It is human nature.

I always used to say, "You want women on subs? Fine. Make an all woman sub crew, from head to toe." Do it. I dare the Secretary of the Navy to do so. They won't. Now you want to put gay people on there.....unfortunately, you introduce a personality that is not compatible with straight men or gay men. Both are targets. Same with lesbians. It just doesn't work.

Unfortunately it is so easy to make a decision that doesn't affect you directly and call it good and feel real proud of what you are doing. They need to get to the trenches, the front lines, the subs to see what it does to the dynamics. One of the biggest proponents of gender blending in the 90's was Pat Schroeder, a Democrat from Colorado. She was hell bent on getting women everywhere men were....until she went underway for 3 days on board a submarine. She quickly realized the error in her decision and backed down from that stance, and to go as far as to say that it is not possible to do it on a submarine.

Let's be smart about this people. Ladies, as faithful as you may be, would you want to go to sea on a metal tube for, say 100 days, with a crew of say 60-80 young men looking at you like a piece of meat? Standing in chow line with them shoulder to shoulder, wearing the same damage control gear, using the same showers, sleeping in a bunk room surrounded by them, trapped with no where to go but inside a 35 foot by 300 foot tube? No.....you wouldn't. You would feel uncomfortable....and unable to escape.

That is what straight guys would feel if there was a group of gay guys on board.

Our politicians need to think before they act. Survey the affected demographics prior to opening setting drastic changing policy. My dad always said, "Engage your brain before opening your mouth." This crucial step was missed by the President Elect's transition team.

The world does not have to accomodate FAT people.

Recently I read an article where a young woman was denied a MRI scan at the hospital.....because she was too fat! She is 5 feet tall and 280 pounds (according to her, meaning add 15 to that). SO, she was too big to fit through the opening of the MRI! Period......end of story.

Look, I am a heavy guy too. Not huge, but more than I should. Who's fault is that? MINE!!!! I need to fix it, and hope to gain the will power someday to do so, but it is MY FAULT! So, just because you are too big to fit in an MRI, it does not mean society or the hospital or anyone is obligated to accomodate your blob shape! SORRY! It is not like the majority of the world are pear shaped.

The lady said she finally found a place with an Open MRT that could accomodate her weight and shape but it was embarrassing and frustrating. GOOD! It should be! That is what drives you to change and be better, be healthier!

Her final comment is, "They should have machines that fit most everybody." Guess what. They do.

No more complaints about "the MAN holding you down"

Done. It is over. No more complaints. Can't do it any longer. SORRY!

We are about to swear in the US's first Black President. What an accomplishment! I am proud for my country and the infrastructure that is present to allow someone, who 60 years ago would have been lynched in certain areas of this country, now accepts the highest office in the US and is likely the most powerful man in the world.

Racism is officially dead. It is through. No longer can you use the argument that racism is preventing you from moving forward in life, from getting a better job, from making more money. The President elect can do it, so can you. If not, maybe you should look inside for the solution, not outside. I will no longer take your excuse and allow you a free pass. Work for the position just the same as the rest of us.

Yes, it may exist in pockets here and there, but so does the religious bias (see, Utah), sexual bias and other various strains of lame class based exclusion. I don't ask for the LA Lakers to be racially equal, or the Dallas Cowboys to be racially diverse, so don't expect a job site to lower the standards because you are of a particular race. Race no longer applies.

Good luck in this prosperous new world!
